18th Century Wrought Iron Display Tray EXTREMELY RARE Roses Vines Sheet Metal

Extremely rare, 18th century French wrought iron sculpture tray. Very minimal rust, natural patina, no bent or broken pieces. Bought from estate sale, have little info other than it was from an antiques collector.

This beautiful crowning element is unpublished and particularly rare work, without terms of comparison in repertoires nor in the ironwork museum collections: a sort of unique piece, testifying the great inventive capacity and at the same time the technical and aesthetic refinement of the French ironwork of the eighteenth century.

The detail in each rose is unique. The vines twist and turn around a tray. This piece was used as a centerpiece or display for perfumes, lotions, etc...in the boudoir.
